Apartment Update

The past week has been rough for me. Seriously, 2008 has not been great to me.

Last Wednesday I came home to find my apartment had flooded. So, I had to call a plumber to come out and fix everything. On Thursday my carpet was taken out and I had to pack up my entire living room. All weekend I functioned with no carpet. I was originally going to head out, get a little shopping done, possibly go visit my sister, etc. Well, Saturday morning I woke up and found that I had riped my last right contact. Awesome. So I've worn my stupid broken glasses all weekend (both handles are broken off and duct taped on).

Well, I have had some drama with my insurance in the past, but I'm all set and covered now. So, this morning I called and made an eye doctors appointment for tomorrow morning at 10:30. Hopefully everything will go okay and I can get to work by 12:30.

What this has taught me: Don't wait until the last minute to do things.

25 things to do before I turn 25

2008 is the year that I will turn 25. I have put together a list of things to accomplish in the next nine and a half months. Let's see if I can do it!

1. Get a tattoo.

2. Finish paying off my credit card debt.

3. Start a savings plan.

4. Organize my life.

5. Start eating at least one new vegetable.

6. Go to the gym regularly.

7. Go to the doctor more often.

8. Volunteer.

9. Perform random acts of kindness.

10. Take up a new hobby.

11. Join a book club.

12. Start a bunco group.

13. Become a member of the local library and actually use it.

14. Host a ritzy cocktail party.

15. Take dance lessons.

16. Keep a plant alive for more than a month.

17. Use snail mail to communicate with family & friends.

18. Go to the symphony.

19. Go wine tasting.

20. Visit a state I have not been to.

21. Go on a cruise.

22. Sky dive!

23. Go on a vacation by myself.

24. Go on a date. I may need some help finding a good man, so let me know if you know any.

25. This one I have kept secret, but I will let you all know when I accomplish it!
