Speculating

Let me tell you about my newest addiction: scrabulous

It's an awesome application on facebook that allows you to play scrabble with friends. You can play a quick game if you are both online at the same time and willing to dedicate your time to playing, or you can enjoy a relaxing slower game that will last days. This game has helped me so much with my vocabulary! I have learned so many new words just by playing them!

Back to business-

I saw a repeat offender the other day. The girl with the bad hair that I described back a few entries ago was this time wearing a bad outfit. I saw her in starbucks on Friday wearing a seriously fugly outfit. Again, I am not opposed to any of the actual items I see people wear (most of the time) but rather the way they think things match. This girl was wearing a dress skirt, black tights, black ankle boots, and a ratty old tshirt. Well, I might actually be opposed to the ratty old tshirt. Seriously though? Who does she think she's kidding? The bottom half of her looked fine! Cute shoes, cute skirt...but the shirt? Honestly? You couldn't find something nicer to wear? I mean her shirt looked like it belonged to man in the 1980's!

Also, I had an interesting experience today.

I went shopping! I decided to head out to Kohl's (since I have not been in ages) and the closest one is in Santee. After purchasing two shirts, a belt, and headbands (which I paid for and somehow didn't get in my bag - angry) I went to lunch. And since I was starving I stopped at the Wendy's just across the street. I had plenty of time so I went inside rather than running through the drive through. While enjoying my meal I noticed something. During the full thirty five minutes I was in the restaurant not one single person who was not caucasian came into the restaurant. To be honest, I was a little creeped out. I don't normally notice those types of things, but I found it very interesting. And I realized that if I were not caucasian I would probably feel very uncomfortable being in the restaurant. No real major "a-ha" moment or anything, but I found it to be very weird and uncomfortable.

Disgust

I can't even express in words my hatred for cleaning. Don't get be wrong, I don't really want to live in filth and I absolutely adore the end product of cleaning (aka a clean apartment) but the actual activity is revolting. I feel like every time I clean I feel dirtier after being done. It truly is a workout.

That is all for now.

In conclusion- I hate quarter run laundry machines.

Seriously Excited

I am so ridiculously excited for my vacation!

I will be in New York in 11 days! :) Cambria and Anna better get ready for me, because I will want to go out! I also want to see a bunch of shows. I've been seriously saving for this trip so I will be living by the phrase "Go Big or Go Home!"

I had a dream last night that I got to NY and forgot to pack dress clothes for AFA. Ooops. I better make sure that doesn't happen. Boo packing two weeks worth of clothing into one suitcase. It's going to be interesting.

On a side note- I am finally having my housewarming on Monday and I still have so much work to do to finish up my apartment. Boo. I will be working all weekend. And I'm going up to Jennifer's on Saturday.

I'm a terrible person...here's why

So I have decided to use my blog as a place where I can vent about the seriously ugly and inappropraite things I see people wearing/sporting all the time. Today I have two examples.

One:
On Monday I had lunch with some friends in the campus food court. We saw a girl wearing the most ridiculous and ugly outfit...um...ever. It has been cold lately and even I have been breaking out my coats, but this outfit was ridiculous. Imagine- she was wearing a purple "waffle style" thermal with a puffy cream vest with a hood that was fur lined. This would be cute except she paired it with white shorts, black knee highs (lace on the top and all) and brown ankle boots. I'm actually not adamently opposed to any individual pieces of her clothing, but rather the combination of them. Really though knee highs are not appropriate to wear with shorts. I'm being serious. Knee highs are only appropriate with a skirt and if you want to look like you stepped right out of Clueless. Hello 1995! And if you think it is cold enough to wear a parka...wear some DAMN PANTS! It drives me crazy. I give her an F for being ensembly challenged.

Two:
This offender was much much worse. Her outfit was acceptable: black tshirt, jeans, and black shoes- actually quite classy, but her hair did her in for me. First I would like to say that if you have naturally dark brown or black hair that if you insist on getting highlights, please DO NOT get blonde- it just makes you look like a skunk- or skank- you choose. But this girl went way beyond skunk hair. She had the top layer of her hair cut into a pixie style haircut (which would have actually been quite cute with her face shape) and the bottom half of her hair reached her shoulders. It was almost like a mullet (except it would be business on top- party on the bottom). Ew. And to top it off, the longer layer was bleached blonde while the top layer remained her natural shade of dark brown. You have to be on some serious drugs to think that this is cute. I give her an F flat out!

That is all for now, but I promise to post all of my evil thoughts about people for your enjoyment. :)
